Birthdays are a very special day for everyone who celebrates one. It makes the person feel loved when their close ones do something special on their big day.

For a special award-winning DJ and Music Promoter Alfred Munhenga, popularly known as King Alfred based in the United Kingdom, it was his turn to celebrate his birthday on Sunday. King Alfred hosted an Army wear themed party in Dunstable and an after party at Kumba Lounge in Luton.
People from all walks of life and from far and wide, came out to celebrate with the much loved DJ/Music Promoter.
Alfred Munhenga was born and bred in the high-density suburb of Glen view. He moved to the UK in 2000. King Alfred founded New generation sound back in 1988 with his two brothers, Oliver and Slauta G and this year in July celebrated 36th anniversary in music.
He has DJ’d across the UK, Ireland and Europe. From the Players & Rollers days to Club Lasanza days. From Club 19 to Club M. If someone has lived in England for a few years, no doubt at one point in time King Alfred would have DJ’d at a graduation party, birthday party or Zimbo event that you have graced the dance floor as you got serenaded by his set.
Around 2010 King Alfred started promoting Zimbabwean artist on a larger scale. In that same year he flew Winky D to the United Kingdom for one of the first edition of the annual Zim Cup clash UK battle.
In his musical journey he has clinched ambassadorial roles with different big brands, to name a few Cassava Remit and Express links money transfer. In 2013 he won the UK- Zim Achievers Merit award for his role, in promoting local talent internationally.

Alfred Munhenga thanked everyone in a statement issued yesterday, he said:
